Surgery Works Reports
The ability to generate reports for surgery preparation is a time intensive process. Surgery WorksTM reduces that time exponentially by generating customized reports at the click of a button. Surgery WorksTM comes with three distinct reporting features that can save you time and money in preparing a patient for surgery.

Surgery WorksTM Standard Reports

The Surgery WorksTM standard reports are those reports that come with the standard installation of the application and provide important information on the patient’s status and the doctor’s availability.

The four standard reports are:

Surgery Schedule By Doctor
Surgery Schedule By Date
Display Uncompleted Items by Patient
Surgery Availability Report

Through the use of these reports, you can determine if a patient hasn’t had their blood work or other medical tests completed yet or if you still require certain forms to be filled out. Additionally, you can determine a surgeon’s availability based on surgery type, date and number of surgeries scheduled.

Surgery WorksTM Custom Reports

The Surgery WorksTM Custom Reports are specific reports that are developed with the specific purpose of eliminating the need for filling out paperwork. One of the major costs involved in a medical operation include the administrative costs to prepare the paperwork as well as the problems that can occur from poor transcription, illegilble handwriting or incorrect information on a completed form. Through the use of the Surgery WorksTM custom reports, the users have the ability to eliminate these costly mistakes while also having the benefit that for 90% of the custom reports, once they are created, the system administrator can change the text of these forms themselves without having to pay for additional assistance when there are changes down the road.

An example of these reports might include:

Patient Forms

One example of a patient form is that you may require a patient to have an ultrasound or physical completed by a patient’s primary care doctor. In this case, you run the Clearance form or Ultrasound form for a particular patient and that patient’s information is already pre-printed with everything on it and they bring that form to their Primary Care Doctor.

Doctor’s Instructions

Every doctor in your practice may wish to have their own instructions for their patients following surgery. In this case, when you select a patient’s name, the instructions which print out will be determined by the doctor that is completing the surgery.

Scheduling Packets

Most surgeries take place in a hospital or surgery center which has their own set of forms to be completed. Through the Surgery WorksTM custom reporting component, these forms can be automated so that everything is pre-printed on the form to match the hospital’s requirements, allowing you to avoid the time and expense of having to look-up and fill out information on these forms. Once it’s in the system, the data works for you.

Surgery WorksTM Batch Reports

The Surgery WorksTM Batch Reports are not actually reports but a mechanism that allows you to group together a specific set of reports. For example, instead of selecting two internal reports (i.e. Ultrasound ReporT) plus a packet for the hospital, you can have all three reports print off together for specific surgery type or other designation.
